Meet Jocelyn Kenyon
What was your first job? What skills from that job do you use today?
My first job was at Cold Stone Creamery! I spent a year there and really enjoyed it as my first job. This job honestly pushed me out of my comfort zone because I had to sing whenever we got tipped. The skills I learned from that job that I use today are being able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment! I also learned interpersonal skills working in the customer service industry.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
Every day is different! I love having a variety of things to work on each day as well as the learning aspect. I have the opportunity to learn new platforms, trends, and different aspects of marketing each day.
Tell us about someone who has inspired you or helped you along the way? How has that person impacted your work today?
I’ve had several mentors over the years and am grateful to have worked closely with them. My first two internships in college I interned for two small women-owned businesses and had the opportunity to work directly with the owners which was so exciting and inspiring.
Why is this role perfect for you?
I have always known I’ve wanted to work in marketing and social media to help grow brands. I love being able to work on a variety of different brands that I am passionate about. I love how social media evolves everyday and how ever-changing it is. I also am passionate about influencer marketing and never had the chance to enter this side of marketing until now, I’m very excited about it!
What are three things you like to do outside of work?
I love going on long walks outside every day! It’s such a great way to start the day.🚶♀️
Pilates, it’s my new favorite workout! 🤸♀️
Spending time with my family at the Cape in the summer! 🚤
